Think of your wallet as a digital bank account that stores your cryptocurrency securely. You'll need a wallet to interact with our application. The most popular wallets are TrustWallet and MetaMask mobile applications. TrustWallet is more user friendly, but if you have issues you can join our support chats and we will help you get MetaMask set up. If you're on a computer, your best wallet is the MetaMask Chrome extension.
NOTE: The MicroPets team will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or ask you to connect to any unofficial links.
Open your Web 3 enabled browser, such as those contained within MetaMask or TrustWallet and click the "Connect Wallet" button. Ensure you're only connecting to this URL for your safety: https://petropolis.micropets.io/signin
Upon pressing "Connect Wallet", you'll be prompted to "Sign the transaction". Simply confirm this and you'll be connected to the dApp.
Issues connecting? If you are not using a Web 3 enabled browser, the button will do nothing as Web 3 is not supported natively. If you run into this issue, you're likely trying to connect via your phone's web browser and not the one within the actual wallet itself.
Wrong network? Sometimes your wallet will default to Ethereum network, but MicroPets is on BSC. For example, TrustWallet will show an Ethereum icon in the top left corner of the dApp, but clicking on it will let you switch to Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
