# Rewards Overview

## Claiming

To claim your rewards, simply visit the [Swap](https://petropolis.micropets.io/game/swap) page. You must have a real MicroPet to claim, as mentioned in [Step 5](/game-dapp-getting-started/using-the-game-dapp/step-5-swap-your-coins.md).

## How Rewards are Calculated

Pretend we have a Baby Akita linked in our profile that has a rewards bonus of 25%. We do a run with the game and collect a total of 100 coins.

| Baby Akita (25%) | 100               | 25            |

In this example, we have a total of 125 coins earned if you were to check your rewards balance on the [Swap](https://petropolis.micropets.io/game/swap) page. However, only 100 of those coins can be used in the game to buy lives and power ups, ensuring a level of balance amongst players.

A total of 125 rewards coins could be swapped in this example to be used in the [Shop](https://petropolis.micropets.io/game/shop) and [Magic Chest](https://petropolis.micropets.io/game/magicchest).
